The version number of the openGEDCOM spec that the file was generated against.
The openGEDCOM versions are not compatible with the GEDCOM 5.x versions. However a similar lineage-linked data model is preserved and represented in a more user friendly JSON format. Many of the “tag” names are preserved from the 5.x standard.
